Tofu Lettuce Wraps

These lettuce wraps are so fresh and quick, perfect for lunch or as an appetizer!

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • ½ onion, finely diced

  • 1 8 oz. package of mushrooms, finely diced

  • 1 block of tofu, pressed and crumbled

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp minced ginger

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • ½ tsp minced green chilies 

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp chili crisp (use ½ tbsp for less spice)

  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tsp sriracha 

  • Romaine or butter lettuce leaves

Directions:

  1. Heat a pan on medium heat and add 1 tbsp of oil 

  2. Add onion, ginger, garlic and green chilies and cook until onions are translucent 

  3. Add mushrooms and crumbled tofu and cook for 5-6 minutes 

  4. Add sesame oil and remaining sauces and toss to coat evenly

  5. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, tossing often

  6. Scoop some of the mixture onto a lettuce leaf and enjoy!
