Tandoori Tofu Flatbread

The tandoori tofu, creamy raita and hot honey make for a burst of flavor you don’t want to miss!

Servings: 6-8

Ingredients:

Marinade:

  • ½ cup yogurt

  • 2 tsp chili powder

  • 2 tsp paprika powder

  • 2 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp coriander powder

  • 2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1½ tsp garam masala powder

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • ½ turmeric powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp minced ginger

  • 2 tsp minced garlic (or 4 cloves minced)

  • 1 tbsp chickpea flour

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp oil

Raita:

  • ½ cup yogurt

  • ½ long english cucumber, shredded and liquid squeezed out

  • 1 tomato, remove the inside, finely diced

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1½ tsp onion powder

  • 1½ black pepper

Other:

  • 2 packages of extra firm tofu

  • Hot honey

  • Flatbreads or Naan

Directions:

  1. Press tofu to remove excess liquid then tear apart into small pieces

  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the ingredients for the marinade

  3. Add the tofu in and coat evenly and let marinate for 3 hours

  4. Once marinated, pan fry or air fry until golden and crispy

  5. Prepare the raita by mixing the ingredients listed

  6. To assemble, lightly toast the flatbread and spread a dollop of raita on top

  7. Add the tofu and drizzle with hot honey

  8. Optionally garnish with cilantro

  9. Enjoy!
