Tandoori Tofu Flatbread
The tandoori tofu, creamy raita and hot honey make for a burst of flavor you don’t want to miss!
Servings: 6-8
Ingredients:
Marinade:
½ cup yogurt
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp paprika powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp cumin powder
1½ tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp black pepper
½ turmeric powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp minced ginger
2 tsp minced garlic (or 4 cloves minced)
1 tbsp chickpea flour
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp oil
Raita:
½ cup yogurt
½ long english cucumber, shredded and liquid squeezed out
1 tomato, remove the inside, finely diced
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp salt
1½ tsp garlic powder
1½ tsp onion powder
1½ black pepper
Other:
2 packages of extra firm tofu
Hot honey
Flatbreads or Naan
Directions:
Press tofu to remove excess liquid then tear apart into small pieces
In a large mixing bowl, mix the ingredients for the marinade
Add the tofu in and coat evenly and let marinate for 3 hours
Once marinated, pan fry or air fry until golden and crispy
Prepare the raita by mixing the ingredients listed
To assemble, lightly toast the flatbread and spread a dollop of raita on top
Add the tofu and drizzle with hot honey
Optionally garnish with cilantro
